Jakarta EE 11 and Payara

Jakarta EE 11 is a major leap forward for enterprise Java. With new features like Jakarta Data, developers can build modern, cloud-native applications while still supporting existing Java EE systems. Our early adoption through the Payara Platform Community 7 Alpha (DOWNLOAD HERE) – already certified for the Core Profile – shows our strong commitment to the Jakarta EE ecosystem.

Full Web and Platform Profile certifications are on the way, keeping Payara users at the cutting edge of enterprise application development.

Looking Ahead

Work on Jakarta EE 12 is already in motion, with a release planned for 2026. The next version will fully embrace Java SE 21 and bring even more updates, including possible new specs like Jakarta Query and Jakarta MVC.
