Leading the Way: Payara Platform Community 7 Beta Now Fully Jakarta EE 11 Certified
We’re excited to announce that Payara Platform Community 7 Beta application server is now fully certified as Jakarta EE 11 […]
Do any of these situations sound familiar to you and your business?
Need stable Payara 5. I am using latest community version.
I am using Payara 5 Community Edition and I plan to upgrade to Payara 5 Enterprise Edition.
What would be the costs?
We are using Payara Version 5.2022.5 and for some of our customers we want to move to Payara Enterprise to be up-to-date with current security patches.
We are currently using the Community edition of Payara and would like to stay with Payara 5. How much do the enterprise licenses cost to continue to do this?
I currently use Payara 5 Community and have done for many years. Payara 6 Community uses Java 11 but my product doesn’t currently work with Java 11 so I would like to understand the cost of Payara 5 Enterprise.
Our inbox is full of messages like these! Sounds familiar? It might be time to move to Payara 5 Enterprise.
Payara 5 Community received its last release in 2022. It is no longer being updated, with no new bug fixes, component upgrades or improvements. In short, it is not stable for use and is definitely not suited for mission critical production systems.
Payara 6 Community has replaced Payara 5 Community. There is no support for JDK 8 or Jakarta EE 8 and earlier in our Community product. Payara 6 Community works with Jakarta EE 10 and JDK 11 and 17 only.
Upgrade to Payara 5 Enterprise.
Payara 5 Enterprise is has guaranteed monthly releases, with bug fixes, improvements and component upgrades.
It will support JDK 8 and Jakarta EE 8 until 2028. You won’t have to worry about upgrading a year or two after you implement Payara Platform Enterprise as our Enterprise software has a 10-Year Software Lifecycle to maintain the stability of your production environment.
Here are just some of the benefits of Payara Enterprise:
