Payara Services, the leading global enterprise software company powering mission-critical Java applications around the globe, has been officially recognised as one of Europe’s Top 25 Inspiring Workplaces for 2025, and it is among the Top 5 in the Medium Business Category (50–499 employees).

Presented by the Inspiring Workplaces Group at a prestigious gala at The Troxy in London, the awards spotlight organizations that lead with a people-first culture, recognising excellence across six key categories: Culture & Purpose, Leadership, Wellbeing, Inclusion, Employee Voice, and Employee Experience.

These awards underscore Payara’s deep commitment to creating a workplace where innovation, collaboration, and employee wellbeing are at the heart of the company’s growth strategy. As a remote first company, Payara believes its ability to serve world-leading customers starts with nurturing a culture of trust, excellence, passion, and belonging.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of Europe’s most inspiring workplaces,” said Julia Millidge, Chief People Officer and Founder of Payara. “This award is a testament to the strength of our global team and the culture we’ve built together — one that empowers individuals to take ownership, think boldly, and grow continuously. Our people are the driving force behind our innovation and our customer success, and this recognition reaffirms that our people-first approach is not just part of our culture — it’s the foundation of our success.”

Unlike traditional awards relying solely on surveys, the Inspiring Workplaces Awards evaluate real, demonstrable evidence of organisations’ commitment to their people. Entries are judged across six key dimensions and reviewed by an independent expert panel. The 2025 cohort represents the highest standard of submissions to date.

Matt Manners, Founder of The Inspiring Workplaces Group, said: “As Inspiring Workplaces marks its 10th anniversary, we’re proud to recognise organisations that are setting the gold standard for PeopleFirst cultures. This isn’t just a feel-good approach, it’s a fundamental business strategy. With AI reshaping the way we work, companies that continue to prioritize profit over people may find themselves facing short-term wins but long-term setbacks. PeopleFirst isn’t optional. It’s essential.”

Payara’s recognition comes as the company continues to expand its platform offering to help enterprise Java users modernize their applications and infrastructure while staying secure, supported, and scalable.
